Lil’ Mama Is Left Eye In TLC Biopic!

Good casting, right? According to VH1 Blog, rapper Lil’ Mama has just been cast as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the VH1 produced TLC biopic. With casting still in process for the roles of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, the biopic will chronicle TLC’s humble beginnings in Atlanta as they rose to fame in the 1990’s as one of the most talented and celebrated, as well as high selling, female groups of all time. All of the public and high-profile turmoil, tragedy, and success will be shown in this film. The film will premiere sometime in 2013.

The casting of Lil’ Mama as Left Eye is PERFECT! Looking at the side by side photo, I sort of feel like she kind of looks like Left Eye if you squint a little. Besides her being a rapper, Lil’ Mama seems like she can be just as bad ass as Left Eye. Now, although this post is devoted towards Lil’ Mama, I cannot wait to see who is cast as Chilli and T-Boz. There have been a lot of rumors swirling around on casting but I have two ladies who would be perfect for the roles. I think Solange Knowles(yes, Beyonce’s sister) would do great as Chilli and Andrea Lewis(Degrassi: The Next Generation) would do just as good as T-Boz. I just have a feeling that them, with Lil’ Mama, would portray TLC so accurately that even the actual T-Boz and Chilli would be shocked at their choices, seeing as they are consultants and executive producers to the biopic. All in all, I cannot wait to see who will be further casted and congratulations to Lil’ Mama for getting this role!

How do you feel about Lil’ Mama being casted as Left Eye?
