Love & Hip Hop’s Olivia Says “I Do” To French Montana

For any fan of VH1’s hit reality series Love & Hip Hop, it is not a secret that long time cast member Olivia Longott, although I guess now she’s a recurring cast member since she is no longer in the opening credits(which is disappointing), has not had it easy in the music world. As the former first lady of 50 Cent’s label G-Unit, Olivia has been constantly trying to record a song that will have all eyes on her as they were when she sang on Candy Shop with 50 Cent. In the past two seasons of Love & Hip Hop, Olivia has recorded two songs that has charted high on Itunes but still has not helped her achieve ultimate success as a singer. Hopefully that all changes as she recently released a new song titled “I Do,” which features rapper French Montana. You can listen to the song below.

I am a huge fan of not only Love & Hip Hop but a bigger fan of Olivia’s since I knew of her music way before she went on the show. I used to bob my head to her first single “Bizounce” and then when she was on 50 Cent’s label, I was predicting that she would become bigger than any other past and current female artists. Although that did not happen, I’m still a big fan of hers and I LOVE this song with French Montana. Even though this might sound like I’m going off track, I constantly visit Centric’s Soul Sessions blog and noticed that editor Justin Dwayne Joseph chose Olivia’s new song as his editor’s choice. In the blog, he says that he is rooting for her to not be afraid to let people in on her struggles and hopes she can return to the public spotlight soon. I completely agree with Joseph and hope that Olivia soon releases her long overdue second album with amazing tracks like “I Do.” To end this, I will just say that Olivia IS going to get the success she rightfully deserves and, like Joseph, I will always be on #teamolivia.
